Daily Notes
Daily Notes
#55IdeaThanks for asking about this. I use daily notes every day too, but I think people have slightly different ways of creating and using them.
For example, I usually create each daily note as a top-level row and organize it later. I rarely look back at older daily notes, so I archive them. Because of that, starting with a fixed hierarchy doesn’t always fit my workflow. One thing I like about outliners is being able to start writing freely and organize the structure later.
That said, as you mentioned, being able to create a daily note quickly would be really useful. Thinking about it, a template feature might be a better fit for Kosshi. It could make it easier for people to create daily notes in their own style.
I haven’t decided anything yet, but I’d love to hear how others use daily notes.
I am accustomed to a Daily Notes section in WorkFlowy, where they have a node that is dedicated to daily notes. They call it the Calendar node. This system has worked very well for me. It is something that can either be turned on or off in WorkFlowy. You can read about it here: https://beta.workflowy.com/help/plan-with-calendar
Thank you for sharing this information. I’ll keep it in mind as a reference when thinking about date-related features in Kosshi.
Are there plans to adding a daily notes feature where every day automatically gets a row in user-controllable date format defaulting to yyyy-mm-dd?
