Summaries

This is a feature I plan to add. When you collapse a section, Kosshi shows a short summary of what is inside, at the end of the row.

Outlines are all about folding. You collapse sections to stay focused, but then you cannot see what is inside them.

A collapsed row can show task progress, last modified, row count, and character count. Backlinks have been requested too, and I plan to show them here.

You can turn any of these on or off. Below is an example with many of them turned on.

Let me know if you have any requests.

Personally I'd probably turn most of these indicators off. If I had to see them all the time it would be very distracting. But I can see how others would like them.

All that said, over time I think the last modified indicator would be most useful for me (especially in cases of notes I haven't attended to in a long time).

Thanks for the honest feedback, it really helps.

You're right that showing all of them at once like this would just get in the way. Everything will be off by default.

That said, to be honest, this feature has actually been done for a while now. I just could never get the UI right, so it never shipped.

Even when something is shown, I'll try limiting it to a single indicator, or find a quieter, less obtrusive way to present it.
